Once we arrived at my grandmother's house in Neiva, I began talking to her and I ended up asking her how long had she lived in this house. She answered: 60 years. When I heard this, I knew I had to get the camera out and record the conversation. This video shows her giving us a tour of her house.

Una vez llegamos a casa de mi Abuela en Neiva, me puse a hablar con ella y no se por que terminé preguntándole "cuánto tiempo llevaba viviendo en esta casa". Ella respondio: 60 años. Al escuchar esto sabía que tenia que sacar la camara para grabar esta conversación. Este video es del tour que mi abuelita nos hace de su casa.

Episode 18: Chontaduros
Chontaduro is a fruit we have in Colombia. It might sound strange, but you eat it with salt and/or honey. It's delicious! If you're in the US, some supermarkets sell them already peel off in glass jars. Usually you can see them through the glass jar, which have a special water to keep them fresh.

Los chontaduros son una fruta Colombiana. Para aquellos que no la conocen, se come con sal y/o miel. En algunos supermercados de Estados Unidos venden unos frascos de vidrio llenos de chontaduros. Atravez del frasco se pueden ver, estos frascos contienen un agua especial para mantener los chontaduros frescos.

Episode 17: 3 Planes in 1 Day
Last December we went to Colombia for the Holidays. Ximena flew one week before, so she was waiting for my arrival. Pease forgive my shaky-camera when I'm introducing my family, as the last time I had seen them was two years earlier, so you can imagine how excited I was being with them again.

It's been 4 weeks since our last post; we've been busy with our jobs and haven't been able to edit all the material from our holidays. But, we hope to get back to our normal schedule to post one video each Friday. This will be the first video (of several) of our vacation in Colombia.

Episodio 17: 3 Aviones en 1 Día
Este pasado Diciembre fuimos a Colombia de vacaciones. Ximena viajó una semana antes, asi que ella me estaba esperando allá. Pido disculpas adelantadas por la toma cuando estoy presentando a mi familia, llevaba dos años sin verlos, y estaba muy emocionado de estar con ellos nuevamente.

Llevamos 4 semanas sin postear videos; hemos estado muy ocupados pero esperamos volver a nuestro ritmo habitual de postear un video cada Viernes. Este sera el primero de varios videos de nuestras vacaciones en Colombia.
